Common Failures and Maintenance Methods of Lathe Truss Manipulators

Author:

Lathe truss manipulators play a very important role in steadily improving product quality, improving labor productivity, and improving labor conditions. Lathe truss manipulators are widely used in production lines in automotive manufacturing, engineering machinery, medical, aerospace, and other application fields.
However, in the daily use of lathe truss manipulators, there are always failures of one kind or another that can prolong the production cycle of the factory or affect the processing quality of parts. How can these problems be avoided and resolved? We will share some solution techniques here.
Common Faults of Lathe Truss Manipulator
Failure of the lathe truss manipulator to operate is usually caused by the quality of electrical accessories, and this failure reason is a relatively common failure factor. The special faults of electrical equipment are mostly soft faults, which need to be measured and maintained by experience and instruments. In addition, for a faulty truss manipulator, it should not be rushed to start, but should first inquire about the history and phenomenon of the failure. Before disassembly, it is necessary to fully understand the function, location, connection method, and relationship with other surrounding devices of each electrical component. In the absence of an assembly drawing, it is necessary to draw a sketch while disassembling, and mark it.
If there are obvious cracks or defects in the shell of the lathe truss manipulator, the machinist needs to understand its maintenance history, service life, etc., before inspecting the inside of the machine. Before disassembly, eliminate the surrounding fault factors, and disassemble the machine after determining that it is an internal fault. Otherwise, blind disassembly may cause the equipment to deteriorate as it is repaired.
The failure of the control buttons on the lathe truss manipulator may be caused by dirt and conductive dust inside the control panel. It is usually necessary to open the control panel, carefully clean the lower wiring points and contact points, and then assemble the control panel back.
Daily maintenance content of lathe truss manipulator
Most mechanical equipment requires regular inspection and maintenance during daily use, while the lathe truss manipulator, as an automation device, requires daily or weekly inspection. Generally, as long as the screws and other reinforcement parts on the transmission device are checked for tightness, they should also be tightened in a timely manner if they are not tightened. Unsecure screws on the manipulator can easily cause vibration during operation, affecting operation accuracy.
Lathe truss manipulators also have requirements for the working environment. Generally, the working environment of the lathe truss manipulator needs to maintain a low level of dust, which is related to the smooth operation of the manipulator. In addition, the lathe truss manipulator should avoid working in alkaline environments as much as possible, because once it comes into contact with acidic and alkaline substances, the surface of its shell will be corroded, seriously affecting the normal operation of the manipulator.
Due to the uninterrupted operation characteristics of the lathe truss manipulator around the clock, the operator needs to promptly lubricate the friction prone components such as the ball screw and linear guide rail after the service life of the manipulator. By adding lubricant in a timely manner, the tight truss manipulator becomes lubricated, ensuring smoother operation at every step.
